Ancestral Tongue is the moniker of singer/songwriter, pianist, and multi-disciplinary artist Roqu Marcelo. With an experimental approach to music, Ancestral Tongue weaves together true emotional stories about identity, love, belonging, and personal freedom into songs that mold different genres together. By infusing melodic and rhythmic elements of pop, jazz, classical, folk, Latin, and blues styles together in various combinations, their songs boldly create their own sonic identity and freshness. Ancestral Tongue calls on and combines the musical traditions of the past and brings them forward into the here and now.Joining the night is Josephine Alphonso bringing along her americana / indie folk sound! Rounding out the night is indie folk singer-songwriter, Isaac Scuvotti!Experience the musical immersion of Ancestral Tongue at The Howlin Wolf Den! Mark your calendar and get your tickets now!
