Reginald D. Hunter headlines Dublin Comedy Festival, sponsored by Rockshore at The Old Mill on Sept 27.
Reginald D. Hunter is one of the most distinctive voices in comedy, known for his razor-sharp wit and fearless social commentary. Originally from Georgia, USA, he has become a household name in the UK, with numerous appearances on top panel shows including Have I Got News for You, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats, and Live at the Apollo.
A Perrier Award nominee at the Edinburgh Festival, Reginald has also won a Writers’ Guild Award for Comedy and fronted acclaimed BBC documentaries such as Reginald D Hunter’s Songs of the South. With his trademark Southern drawl and incisive humour, he remains one of the most thought-provoking and unmissable acts in comedy.
Opening the night is Irish comedy legend Kevin Gildea, whose brilliantly original humour and quick-fire observations have made him one of the country's most respected performers. Two exceptional comedians, one unforgettable night of laughter.'He’s one of the most daring and committed comedians at work right now. Brave, unafraid and compelling…..and very, very funny.' - Tommy Tiernan
Hosted by hilarious local Tallaght comedian, Joe Irish. ‘I’ve seen Joe absolutely wreck it every time from Ballymun to Boston and back!’ – Willa White
